Africa Day

Celebrating Africa Day today in Swakopmund... This year's theme is "Africa and the Diaspora".

Namibia is one of only four countries in Africa where Africa Day is also a public holiday. "Life is so easy in Namibia!", said our host to us this morning, "We have 25 days of holidays by law plus 21 public holidays each year."

Cape Town, a set on Flickr.

We love Cape Town because...

... of its beautiful setting between the Table Mountain and the Atlantic Coast.
... white, colored and black people walk together in the streets.
... of its cool, cosmopolitan and relaxed vibe.
... of the Saturday market at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock.
... there is great coffee again (e.g. Espressolab).
